• Are you willing to travel?
  I'm based in Pretoria and am willing to travel if given enough time to arrange it.  I do not drive more than 50km at night due to safety reasons, in which case I'll need to sleep over at the wedding venue.

• Do you shoot family portraits?
  I used to, but only do it in very special cases these days.  What is a special case? - I don't know, I decide per request.

• What is your photographic style?
  I have a relaxed style and shoot the wedding as it unfolds.  Most of the time you will not notice us.  During the formal session I will direct you in order to get the best shots.  I love spontaneuous fun moments, so prepare to have loads of fun!

• Will you personally shoot my wedding?
  Yes, we're a husband and wife team.  I'll shoot the bride getting ready and my husband will shoot the groom.  We both cover the couple and family photos as well as the wedding and reception.

• Can I negotaite for a better price?
  No, but you can use the price list to build a package that suits your needs.  If you really want to pay less, get another photographer :-)

• How do I confirm my date?
  I will pencil your name in if you indicate interest in a date.  If somebody else wants the same date, I'll let you know and give you first right of refusal.  If you want to confirm a date, you need to pay a 50% deposit and send me your completed service agreement.

• How long before my wedding should I book?
  Well, generally the sooner the better.  These days 6 months is about the average lead time for bookings.  Anything later than that is risky.

• What is the best time to start the wedding?
  Schedule your wedding so that we'll have at least an hour and a half after the wedding service before the sun sets.  Refer to my sunrise/sunset table to calculate an appropriate schedule for your wedding according to the wedding date.  The table can be found in the "Photography Tips" section under the "Information" menu.

• What wedding photography packages do you offer?
  Please refer to my online price list.  It can be found under the "Packages" menu.

• When do I need to make the final payment?
  As soon as you can immediately after the wedding or after receipt of an updated invoice.  I do not start work on your wedding photos until full payment has been confirmed.  The sooner I get the final installment, the sooner you can get your photos.

• Do you have backup equipment?
  Yes.  I use three Nikon camera bodies at every wedding.  I also have multiple lenses, extra flash units, lots of batteries, etc.  You get the picture...

Final Product Questions

Questions about your final product answered here.

• How soon can I have my photos?
  Normally within 4 weeks.  It depends on your preferences as well.  If you would like to select the photos to be printed etc, the to and fro communication can delay this timeline quite a lot.  If I have received your full payment, I'll provide you with a proof CD to speed up the process a bit.

• How will my photos and album be delivered?
  I prefer couples to come and pick up their photos and/or album etc themselves.  That way I can make sure that you receive your order in good condition.  CDs and DVDs I will post to you if that is your wish.  Albums can be couriered to you at an extra charge - please refer to my price list for details.

• What type of wedding albums do you offer?
  I offer both traditional leatherbound wedding albums as well as story book wedding albums.  Have a look for yourself under the "Information" menu.

Photo Questions

Questions related to my photography, my style and the physical photos

• Do you digitally enhace photos?
  Yes.  I use Adobe Photoshop to enhance every single photo.  I do the normal workflow like colour correction etc, but also add my personal touch to every photo.  It's a labour of love in the end.  I do not fancy extreme digital manipulation where you end up looking like a wax doll or float in a bubble.

Wedding Day Questions

Answers to questions regarding my services and our interaction on the day of the wedding.

• Do I need to seat you at a table?
  Yes please.  We require seating and food.  Preferably located near a wall plug in case we need to charge a battery or power backup storage units etc.and with enough space to park our equipment.  If you want us out of the way, please note that you'll then have to make sure that we know when to shoot what part of your reception.

• What do you wear on the wedding day?
  We wear dark, semi-formal clothes in order to blend in.
